Burnt Garlic Spinach Rice

  • 8-10 cloves garlic chopped ( burnt to a reddish colour in little oil)
  • 2 cups spinach chopped
  • 3/4 cup rice
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 11/2 tbsp ghee or oil
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • Salt to taste

Wash and soak the rice for 30 minutes. Heat a cooker, tip in the ghee or oil. Add cumin and crackle. Next, add the burnt garlic and rice and sauté for a few mins. Add spinach and salt to taste and mix well. Add the water, close the lid of the cooker and give it one whistle. Done.
