
– 100gm of black eyed peas soaked for at least 5 hours and pressure cooked to 2-3 whistles and drained.
– 1 tsp olive oil
– 1 white onion, finely chopped
– 4/5 garlic cloves, finely chopped
– 1 tsp finely ground white pepper
– 1 tbsp dry basil leaves
– 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
– 1 tsp sugar
– Salt to Taste
Heat olive oil in a pan and add chopped onions and garlic cloves. Saute’ for a minute or so. Then add the boiled black-eyed peas, followed by the ketchup, sugar and salt to taste. Mix well and stir for another couple of minutes. Add water according to desired thickness of the gravy. Next, add in the white pepper powder and basil. Mix well, bring to a boil on low-medium flame for a minute or so. Done!
