Dry Fruits Chikki



  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dry fruits chopped (I usually cut them into long slivers)
  • 1/4 cup poppy seeds
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp oil


  • Add the sugar in a pan and stir continuously on low flame till it dissolves
  • Once the sugar completely dissolves add lemon juice to it
  • Stir for just 1 or 2 seconds and put the dryfruits and poppy seeds immediately
  • Mix the dissolved sugar, dry fruits and poppy seeds (you have to be super quick in this process)
  • Grease a flat surface and a rolling pin with oil
  • Transfer the mixture onto the greased surface and roll it with the rolling pin.
