Tempered Yogurt

Tadka Dahi


  • 1 cup thick yogurt
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • 1 ripe tomato chopped
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • Fresh coriander chopped
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • Salt to Taste


  1. Heat ghee in a pan, then add the chopped onions and fry till they turn golden brown.
  2. Next,  add in green chillies and chopped tomato and mix well.
  3. Add the dry spices and cook till ghee separates from the yogurt.
  4. Once the mix cools, add it to the yogurt and mix well.
  5. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  6. Can be served with rice or rotis.
