Eggless Walnut Nankhatais

WALNUT NAANKHATAI

Ingredients
Wheat flour – 1/4th cup
All purpose flour – 3/4th cup
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Ghee – 1/2cup
Baking powder – 1/2tsp
Cardamom – 2
Walnuts (powdered) – 1 tbsp
Crushed walnuts – 2 tbsp

Method

  • Grind the sugar with cardamoms to get a powdered elaichi flavoured sugar.
  • Mix all the ingredients except the crushed walnuts with the powdered sugar and form a dough.
  • Next, make small roundels of the dough and cut a tiny cross on top of each with a knife.
  • Sprinkle crushed walnuts on top and bake them in a preheated oven at 190℃ for 10-12 minutes or till they’re golden brown. Cool and serve.
