Cornflake Cookies

Cornflake Cookies


flour – 150 gms (1 cup)
baking powder – 1/2 tsp
butter – 100 gms
caster sugar – 90 gms (1 cup)
vanilla essence – 1/2 tsp
egg – 1
cornflakes – about 50gms

  • Sieve the flour & baking powder together
  • Cream the sugar & butter together
  • In a separate bowl, beat the egg & essence together & then add to the creamed mixture
  • Fold in the flour
  • Place teaspoons full of batter onto baking tray
  • Sprinkle some cornflakes over each spoonful of batter. Leave enough space between each, because they expand in size
  • Bake at 180 degrees for 10 minutes until the cookies are golden
  • Serve with tea, coffee, or cumbled over ice cream
